History:
• Established in 1997 by two medical service engineers with a total experience of 52 years in the Syrian medical
equipment market.
• The company was to start first with selling and maintaining preowned Siemens CT scanners, giving the customer one-year
warranty on the equipment.
• IMATEC personnel have experience and technical training in the following fields:
Gamma Camera, PET/CT, Linear Accelerator, Simulator, Cobalt 60 therapy systems, Blood Irradiator, UPS systems, MRI, CT,
X-RAY, Laser Camera
• In year 1997, IMATEC represented ADAC laboratories.
In year 2001, ADAC and Picker were both acquired by Philips Medical Systems (PMS). PMS decided to give IMATEC the whole
nuclear medicine line,
which consists of both ADAC and Picker lines.
• In year 1998, IMATEC represented TREX.
• In year 1999, IMATEC represented MDS Nordion.
• In 1999, IMATEC represented PANTAK.
• In year 2000, IMATEC represented Varian Medical Systems (U.S company) for its oncology products.
• In year 2000, IMATEC represented PTW Freiberg, the German manufacturer of measurement equipment.
• In year 2001, IMATEC represented CIS BIO (French company) for its LDR, and sold its first brachy therapy system in Syria.
• In year 2003, IMATEC represented Veenstra, the Dutch manufacturer of hotlab and radiation protection control.
• In year 2004, IMATEC represented Bebig (recently Par-Scientific), the German-Danish manufacturer for mold rooms.
• In 2010, IMATEC represented A2J Laser Technology, the French manufacturer for lasers for Hi-tech equipment.
• In year 2019, IMATEC represented Mediso, the Hungarian manufacturer of Nuclear Medicine product line.
• In year 2019, IMATEC represented Praha, the Czech manufacturer of Cobalt therapy systems.
