In May 2025, IMATEC engineers offered a voluntary training program in collaboration with Damascus University, Department of Biomedical Engineering.

The training program was for fifth-year Biomedical Engineering students, focusing on hands-on sessions in the field of nuclear medicine and Radiotherapy.

The program was led by Eng. Ferzat, Eng. Abdelelah, and Eng. Hani, who generously dedicated their time and expertise to support the next generation of biomedical engineers. Over the course of two months, the training sessions offered in-depth, practical exposure to the advanced medical equipment installed at Al-Bairouni Hospital by IMATEC.

The students received training on a variety of systems, including:

  • Halcyon Linear Accelerator
  • 21EX Linear Accelerator
  • Simulator system
  • Co-60 Therapy Units
  • Gamma Camera System
  • Treatment Planning system (TPS) Department

These sessions provided students with a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world clinical applications.
